Where is Arrowtown?
Arrowtown is situated in the Central Otago region of New Zealand's South Island and is in the heart of the Southern Lakes ski areas, including Queenstown and Wanaka.
How far away is Arrowtown from other places such as Queenstown?
Because Arrowtown is conveniently located close to popular tourist spots such as Queenstown, yet far enough away to escape the huge hordes of tourists, it is fast becoming a popular place to rest and relax.

Is Golden View Motel located close to Queenstown and Arrowtown?
Queenstown is just a 15-minute drive from our accommodation, while the popular main street of Arrowtown with shops, restaurants and cafes is within easy walking distance.
I have heard about the awesome ski fields in the Southern Lakes area, are you located close to any of these?
Arrowtown is an alpine village and can proudly boast to having 7 of the finest ski areas within easy reach! Coronet Peak is approximately 20 minutes away, while the Remarkables, Waiorau Snow Farm and Snow Park are only approximately 45 minutes travelling time. Cardrona is 1 hour away while you should allow around 1.5 hours to reach Treble Cone.
How many motel units do you have available and do you have family size units?
We have 12 units available, including a couple of studio units, 5 one bedroom units, 4 two bedroom units and 1 spacious three bedroom unit. All units are serviced daily.
How can I check motel accommodation availability and rates?
You will need to contact our reservation team via our Request a Quote online form. We will contact you within 24 hours to advise of availability and rates.
Do you offer a breakfast service?
A daily continental breakfast is available at an additional cost.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are only permitted by prior arrangement with us.
Do you have wheelchair friendly rooms available?
Yes, we have disable access units available.
What is your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is available from 2.00pm on the day of your arrival. Check-out time is 10.00am on the day of your departure, however early check-in and/or check-out is available by prior arrangement.
Can I smoke in my room?
Smoking is not allowed in any of the designated 'No Smoking' rooms and areas of the property. If you do smoke, then you may be charged appropriate cleaning and loss of income charges.
Can I have visitors in my motel unit?
Visitors are welcome, however no visitors are permitted in rooms after 10.00pm.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
A credit card number is required to secure your booking. However if you cancel your booking up to 7 days before your booked check-in date your deposit will be refunded.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made up to 7 days before the booked date incurs no charges. Thereafter, the deposit may be retained. However cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may result in the total amount for the booked accommodation being charged.
Is it safe to use my credit card online?
Yes. We treat the security of our guest’s information very seriously. To ensure your security, all credit card transactions are secured by SSL, which encrypts the credit card number so as to make it unavailable to any other party.
